This is an outdoor wood burner we are using to heat our home and our hot water. We live in a rural area and normally heat our home with propane. We have been heating with the wood burner for 2 months now and have already saved a lot of money. The best part is we can keep our house very warm. We used to keep the temperature low to save money, now we can keep it higher. We live on wooded property so we can get wood at no cost. It does involove a lot of labor, cutting and hauling wood. We only have to fill the burner up with wood once a day, and all the mess and smoke stays outside.
